After trading out of the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans had two picks in the third round.

The Texans selected Ohio State WR Devier Posey with the No. 68 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. Posey was suspended five games during his senior season at Ohio State. Posey showed faster than expected straight line speed at the Combine when he posted an official 4.50 forty time. The Texans are getting a reliable and consistent option when on the field, but nothing spectacular. (Rotoworld)

Later in the third round, the Texans selected Miami of Ohio OG Brandon Brooks with the No. 76 overall pick. The biggest Combine snub, literally, Brooks carries his 6'5/346 pound frame extremely well. At his pro day, he ran a 4.98 forty and completed 36 bench press reps. Brooks made a name for himself during East-West Shrine week, dominating the competition around him. Because of his size, Brooks comes off the line a bit too high but with his length and strength he lifts the opposition even higher and consistently controlled inferior interior defensive linemen. In pass protection Brooks absorbs powerful pass rusher with his immense upper body. (Rotoworld)
