Brian Bogusevic, former Astros outfielder and Space City Home Network analyst, joins Next Up following the Astros losing 4-3 Wednesday on the road to the Chicago Cubs. The Astros are now on a four-game losing streak and have a 7-18 record on the season.
Spencer Arrighetti started on the mound and gave up four runs in the first inning. Even though they were able to hold the Cubs to four runs for the remainder of the game, the Astros were 1-10 with RISP and the offense was unable to comeback after being down early.
"It's not been good either way," and the at-bats are the most frustrating because "those are the guys that are supposed to be" winning games, Bogusevic said. The Astros offense "should be able to make up for the mistakes" created by young starting pitching.
Bogusevic also discusses the possibility of calling-up Joey Loperfido for first base and the importance of improving quality at-bats.
