Loperfido also had a strong Spring Training with the Astros, in which he hit .382 (13x34) with five doubles, a triple, seven RBI and a 1.076 OPS in 18 games.

Loperfido, a left-handed hitting outfielder and first baseman, currently ranks as the Astros No. 6 prospect per MLB.com. When Loperfido is activated tomorrow, the Astros will make a corresponding move to their 26-man active roster and to their 40-man roster, which is currently full.

Additionally, following yesterday’s game, the Astros returned IF/OF Trey Cabbage to Triple A Sugar Land. He served as the Astros 27th man for the Mexico City Series.
