The Astros finalized their roster this morning by officially selecting RHP Tayler Scott (#50) to the Major League roster. To make room for Scott on the 40-man roster, the Astros placed RHP Lance McCullers Jr. (right elbow surgery) on the 60-day IL.
The club also placed RHP Shawn Dubin (right forearm strain), RHP Luis Garcia (right elbow surgery), RHP Penn Murfee (right elbow surgery), RHP Oliver Ortega (right elbow surgery), LHP Bennett Sousa (left shoulder inflammation), RHP José Urquidy (right forearm strain), RHP Justin Verlander (right shoulder inflammation), and on the 15-day IL.
